L-R: Allens Managing Partner Tom Poulton, Melbourne 2006 CEO John Harnden, Allens Consultant Graeme Johnson
Allens Arthur Robinson is proud to have been one of the first organisations to support the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games in its capacity as Official Law Firm.
We have been part of the Melbourne business landscape for more than 150 years. The Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games was an opportunity for us to help showcase Victoria, and Australia as a whole, to an international audience.
It also continues our proud tradition of advising on Australia's most significant sporting events, including the Olympic Games, Formula One Grand Prix, the Melbourne Cup, World Cup Cricket and Rugby World Cup 2003.
Allens worked alongside Melbourne 2006's in-house legal team on issues ranging from contractual and supplier negotiations through to preventing ambush marketing, with all Australian offices being involved.
Allens' relationship partner for Melbourne 2006 was Paul Kenny.
