The award night for the 2007 exhibition was held at the Lane Cove Civic Centre on Friday, 12 October 2007.
Congratulations go to the following recipients:
- Winner ($5000) - Matthew Bromhead, Thirroul NSW
- Highly commended ($1500) - Dean Brown, Newport Beach NSW
- Commended ($800) - Tamara Mendels, Woolahra NSW
The evening was hosted by Ian Longbottom, the Mayor of Lane Cove, in the presence of local dignitaries, councillors, art critics and the media. Rachel Ellis, special guest speaker, won the Lloyd Rees Award in 1994 and shared her experiences of building a career as an artist.
The Art Exhibition of all the submitted works was staged in the Cove Room of Lane Cove Council from 13 -19 October 2007.
