Recent PPP experience includes:

Northern Territory Secure Facilities Project (PPP)
Advised a consortium of banks on the financing of A$565 million Northern Territory Secure Facilities PPP Project (Doug Owston Correctional Centre), which involves the construction of a low- to maximum-security correctional centre and mental health centre at a greenfield site near Darwin.

New Royal Adelaide Hospital (PPP)
Advised the financiers to the successful SA Health Partnership Consortium on the A$2 billion plus New Royal Adelaide Hospital public-private partnership PPP.

Single LEAP Project (Phase 2)
Advising Plenary Group on its bid for Phase 2 of the Single LEAP Project, a PPP project of the Commonwealth Department of Defence to deliver defence force accommodation at 14 military bases across Australia.

Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project
Advising Plenary Group and its GoldlinQ Consortium partners, Bombardier, Downer EDI, McConnell Dowell and Keolis, on the A$1 billion first stage of the Gold Coast Rapid Transit project, which is one of Australia's first public transport public-private partnerships.

Gateway Upgrade Project
Advising the Queensland Department of Main Roads on the $1.6 billion duplication of the Gateway Bridge and upgrade of the Gateway Motorway. The State's largest ever road project will be delivered in partnership with the private sector, through a design, construct and maintain contract.

Darwin City Waterfront Redevelopment
Advising a Leighton Contractors-led consortium on its proposed bid for the A$600 million redevelopment of Darwin's Wharf precinct. The precinct will transform contaminated industrial land into a major tourist centre adjacent to the CBD. The project will be run as a PPP.

Mitcham-Frankston Freeway
Acting for the financiers of both bidding consortia, the Mitcham-Frankston Freeway will be a 40 km link connecting Melbourne's eastern and south eastern suburbs due for completion in 2008. The project will be delivered under the State Government's Partnerships Victoria policy.

Victoria Prisons Project
Advising BoS International and Westpac in financing the successful tendering consortium for the Victorian Prisons Project. BoS International is arranging the bank debt for the consortium comprised of Bilfinger Berger, Baulderstone Hornibrook, United KG and NM Rothschild & Sons.

Metropolitan Mobile Radio Project
Advising the TVNZ and SES Systems Pty Ltd consortium on its tender to the Bureau of Emergency Services Telecommunications to run an Emergency Services communication facility – the Metropolitan Mobile Radio system – to connect police, fire, ambulance and emergency services.

Spencer Street Station Redevelopment
Advised the Victorian Government on all legal and commercial aspects of the project, including risk evaluation, contractual structures and project delivery. This project was the first rail project developed under the Victorian Government's PPP guidelines.

Cross City Tunnel
Advised the Cross City Motorway consortium on its successful bid to design, build, own and operate the proposed Cross City Tunnel in Sydney. The project, valued at A$1.03 billion, 2km in length and running east-west under the Sydney CBD, is scheduled for completion in 2005.

Royal Melbourne Showgrounds
Advising The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (as the Victorian Government's joint venture partner) on structuring the Government's A$100 million contribution to this major redevelopment to be delivered under the Victorian Government's Partnerships Victoria policy.

NSW Schools Project
Acted for the financiers to a consortium bidding to design and construct nine schools and provide ancillary services (cleaning, security, building maintenance, grounds maintenance and provision and operation of ICT equipment) as part of an A$80 million Privately Financed Project (PFP) in NSW.

Western Sydney Orbital
Acted for the joint lead arrangers on the A$1.5 billion financing. We also acted for Citibank in providing financing for Leighton Holdings' equity contribution. The A$2.5 billion project is the largest urban road project in Australia and the financing was awarded the Project Finance Deal of 2003 by CFO magazine.

Brisbane River Tunnel Proposals
Advised Brisbane City Council on its proposal to invite the private sector to undertake, at its own cost, the development of a variety of major transport projects, including a cross-river tunnel. It is envisaged that the projects will be commissioned on a BOOT or PPP basis.

Berwick Community Hospital Project
Advised the Public Infrastructure Health Consortium on its unsuccessful bid to develop a new community hospital in Berwick, Victoria. The hospital project was the first, health sector PPP project to be progressed in the State.
