Allens acts for CSR in sale of Asian businesses to Rockwool Group
8 July 2010
Allens Arthur Robinson (Allens) advised CSR on its recent agreement to sell 100 per cent of its Asian insulation, panels and trading businesses to Rockwool Group for A$128 million.
The sale reflects CSR's plan to focus on its core market-leading positions in the Australian and New Zealand building products market.
Allens, led by Head of Greater China M&A Campbell Davidson and involving a team from Hong Kong, PRC, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand, worked with CSR for the past 12 months.
'We brought together a team from five of our Asian offices to advise CSR on the sale. With businesses in seven countries, it was a complex transaction which required our team to work closely with CSR to deal with issues across many jurisdictions,' said Mr Davidson.
'We are pleased to help CSR in a transaction that will allow it to focus on the Australian and New Zealand markets,' added Mr Davidson.
The sale is expected to complete over the next six months.
