Allens appoints new Partner to Projects team

One of Australia's leading infrastructure and construction lawyers is to join Allens Arthur Robinson (Allens).
Anthony Arrow, who is currently General Counsel at John Holland Group Pty Ltd, will join the firm's Projects team and be based in the Melbourne office from May 2010.
Mr Arrow has been at John Holland since 2005.
He has significant experience in front-end construction and major infrastructure projects, including most recently working on the Victorian Desalination Plant PPP, the Peninsula Link PPP and the Ararat Prison PPP projects.
According to Mr Arrow: 'I am really looking forward to working closely with existing and new clients of the firm on major construction and infrastructure projects to consolidate Allens’ position as a leading law firm in this area.'
Chairman Ewen Crouch said that while Allens is committed to promoting from within the firm, it would hire top quality lateral partners with the right expertise.
'Anthony very much fills that criteria and has specific knowledge and expertise that will be of great benefit to the firm, and also our clients. He is someone who shares the firm's values and we are very much looking forward to formally welcoming him to the firm in a couple of months,' said Mr Crouch.
Mr Arrow will work closely with Partner Emma Warren and her team in Melbourne, in particular in pursuing opportunities in major construction and infrastructure projects within and beyond Victoria.
On joining her team and the valued insight Mr Arrow will bring to the Projects team, Ms Warren said: 'The team has been extremely busy working on key infrastructure projects in recent months and I am really excited about him joining us and what it means in terms of opportunities for the firm.'
