Allens Arthur Robinson wishes departing partner all success

Allens Arthur Robinson (AAR) today announced that Andrew Clarke, Partner in the Sydney Corporate and Commercial department, will retire from the firm on 31 December 2006. Andrew will be taking up a position as a Managing Director and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions for Citigroup in Australia and New Zealand early next year.
'We are very grateful to Andrew for his immense contribution to our firm. We wish him success in his next career and look forward to a continuing close relationship with him,' said Tom Poulton, AAR Managing Partner.
Andrew first joined the firm in 1984 and was elected partner in 1991. He was partner in charge of our New York office from 1992 to 1996 and worked on secondment with Skadden, Arps in New York.
'Allens has been a fantastic place to work and I am now looking forward to a new challenge,' said Andrew Clarke.
Until his retirement Andrew will acquaint existing partners in our top-ranked Mergers & Acquisitions team with relevant client matters. The Allens M&A Practice Group includes the current ALB Dealmaker of the Year Ewen Crouch, and fellow co-head of the M&A Practice Group, Jon Webster.
